Carramar BMX Park

Original design and construction of unsealed dirt jumps, and later surfaced with PolyPave.

Three Chillies Design were engaged by the City of Wanneroo in 2016 to undertake the design and construction of unsealed dirt jumps and a pump track in Houghton Park Reserve.

The park features a multi-line pump track, and two dirt jump lines. The tracks were designed to fit amongst a number of mature trees and native vegetation, offering important shade and stabilizing features, and creating a visually captivating space and enhancing the overall appeal for park-goers. In the initial construction, Three Chillies established tree protection zones prior to construction commencing within the project area. 

Recognising the track’s popularity and appeal to all ages, it was given a major upgrade in 2021. The entire facility was reshaped and surfaced in PolyPave to below ground level. The hard surfacing of the original intermediate and advanced dirt jumps, and pump track lines have made this a low-maintenance community asset accessible to individuals of all abilities. The durable PolyPave surface not only provides a smooth riding experience but also reduces the need for constant upkeep, allowing more riders to enjoy the track year-round.
