Tank 7 Mountain Bike Park
Design and construction of 35km of trail in pine plantation in the Shire of Nannup.
Developed in three stages, boasting 19 trails and totaling a massive 35 kilometers, Nannup’s Tank 7 Mountain Bike Park is among Three Chillies Design’s crowning achievements.
Our skilled team of construction managers and trail builders/construction experts navigated steep, rocky and forested terrain to deliver a world class trail network for all abilities and disciplines. The network includes something for everyone, from cruisy town connecting trails right through to gnarly expert double black diamonds.
Since opening in early 2022, the trail network has quickly become regarded as among the best in Australia, and transformed Nannup into a nationally recognized mountain biking tourism destination, providing the town and its businesses with an unprecedented tourism boost.
In 2022, the Shire of Nannup was awarded the Partnership and Collaboration Award at the Local Government Professionals Community Achievement Awards for the Tank 7 project.
Tank 8
Located at a different trailhead than the more technical descent trails, the network features three jump lines, often referred to as Tank 8. Easy Tiger is a fast and fun blue descent trail, and Flylacine is a double black that features rollable table tops, shark fins and step up. These trails are perfect for those looking to hone their skills. The final double black trail, Mannup, is not for the faint hearted. Featuring steep jumps and large gaps, this is one of Western Australia’s biggest jumplines.
Mannup Drop
At the beginning of the Mannup jump line is the Mannup drop. At several meters off the ground and landing into a sharp berm, this non-optional wood and steel structure is a great qualifying feature for the rest of the trail – if you can’t do this drop, you can’t ride the jumps.
Blindside Bridge
Located on blue descent trail Blindside, is a wood and steel bridge crossing a deep gully. This Instagrammable bridge and the Mannup drop were both designed and fabricated in-house, and installed onsite by our team.
